Today we awoke early and sat on the patio at the Blue Horse, reading, drinking coffee, and watching jackrabbits and hummingbirds. I have never seen so many hummingbirds in one place in my life, and they were truly magical to watch as they darted between flowers and chased each other around cacti.
Later, we shared a breakfast of “Apple Danish French Toast” (featuring baked apples and cranberries on top and bacon on the side) with the others staying at the B&B. One couple was from Texas and celebrating their anniversary, and the other couple was European but currently live in Maryland and were on vacation. We enjoyed our conversation with these new friends and were impressed by our meal. We felt like royalty at the Blue Horse!
