For the Love of Lychee

We love lychees. They are the food of the Gods. Tommy has pronounced them to be not only the best fruit, but in fact the best FOOD. They grow in our yard. If you have not eaten a fresh lychee, you are missing out. Unfortunately, lychee trees are hard to come by. When folks realize that we have access to one, they give us a crazed look that implies they may sneak over in the dead of night to steal them.

Behold, the lychee.

I love you, Lychee.

Lychees are like a plum and strawberry in one.

Mother's Day at Roy's

Redrams Reunion!

On the same day that Anna and Jonathan left, the Marders (Patty and Phil) arrived for their 10 day stay on Oahu. We had a wonderful time visiting with them and showing them all of our favorite places. Phil has really outdone himself when it comes to his usually thorough and impressive documentation of trips, so rather than re-create the wheel, I will refer you to his blog and website, where you can see 1)daily blog summaries, 2) a full musical slideshow, and 3) the entire collection of pictures. Anna & Jonathan--Dinner at Roys

I have fallen totally behind on this blog--my apologies for those few of you who actually check it for postings! Here are some of the final pics from Anna and Johnny Red's visit earlier this month....We had such a great time with them, and I am SO excited to see them again soon in California.
