On one of our last nights in San Fran, Anna surprised us with tickets to see the Broadway show "Avenue Q" which is currently on its national tour. If you have not heard of Avenue Q, it won a Tony for Best Show in 2003. Entertainment Magazine said, "To call it a ''puppet show'' does it a disservice. '''Sesame Street' for grown-ups'' isn't right either. There's no handy way to describe ''Avenue Q,'' except as the furriest, and one of the funniest, shows you're likely ever to see." Lacking wit and energy as we approach the end of our epic journey, this was the best quote I could google that summarized my feelings on the show. I loved it, and laughed out loud (LOUD) throughout the performance. Before the show, Tommy went alone into San Fran and met up with an old friend from Richmond who is currently a social worker in the San Fran schools. Anna, Jonathan, and I ate gyros near the theatre and met up with him just before the curtain rose. Thank you, Anna!
