On Friday, Brad (one of Maggie's fellow post-docs) defended his dissertation, and we joined him, his fiance Joy, Cameo (other current post-doc), Aukahi (former post-doc), Charmaine (former post-doc) and Ben (Charmaine's husband) for "pupus" (appetizers) and drinks at a great place called Ryan's in the Ward Center. It was a lot of fun to spend time together as a big group and celebrate Brad's achievement. This was also basically our first social outing since we arrived.
