Neil's first day

Today we started off with a great breakfast in Waikiki at Lulu's with our Aunt Jackie, who just so happened to be here for a conference. We were so glad to see her and truly enjoyed our meal and conversation!

Next, we walked around Waikiki and Neil experienced the best of people watching. Neil bought some new "slippers" (flip flops) and we walked along the length of the beach with our feet in the water. We realized afterward that we had been walking almost 2.5 miles!

We proceeded to Wailae for some lunch at "Town", which we both loved. Neil had an ahi tuna sandwich and I had a goat cheese fritatta. Neil was highly entertained by a man on the street talking to himself about the illuminati and carrying around a manhole cover. Yes, a manhole cover.

We had planned on walking up Diamond Head, but since it was raining we headed further east and explored the area around Makapuu and the Blow Hole. We actually saw some humpback whales right off the coast, and could see their tails coming out of the water and the large splashes it caused.

When will Tommy get Neil on a surf board?
