Tommy goes to Denver

Here are pictures from my recent trip to Denver. I loved Denver (yes Tommy is actually typing this one up!). I was there for a work conference related to implementing evidence-based mental health services for youths. After the conference was over my colleague and I spent a couple of days playing in the snow. I decided to try snowboarding, for the second time in my life. Snowboarding is an exhilarating if not insane sport, wherein you strap yourself to an extremely slippery board and then cruise down a huge snow covered mountain. I'm not sure who thought of snowboarding, but I have to assume it was someone with little regard for the fragility of the human body. Needless to say, I had a blast and would love to ago again sometime.

It takes time to find the right hat for the occasion.

This is my colleague Teru. . .

"I'm very serious, but am not sure why"

Here I am. . .shredding!

Here's my 'artsy' photo of the mountain and my snowboard.

This one's for Phil. . .

Breckenridge was a winter wonderland. . .so bizarre after living in Hawaii for several months, most of the people in my office have NEVER experienced snow - so they were quite jealous.
