Maggie had a great birthday, with lots of fun celebrations. When she arrived to supervise her first therapist in the morning, she was greeted with a hug, a card, and a beautiful chocolate cupcake with a candle! Throughout the day there were more surprises, including many cards, e-cards, and boxes that arrived in the mail. At lunch, Maggie's core lab team took her to her favorite lunch spot, "Town" on Wailae Ave. where she wore the honored "tri-cornered hat". (This is an inside joke, don't worry about it. Just evidence that Psychologists are crazy themselves.) She received a beautiful lei, a green-tea scented diffuser for her office, and several CDs from her labmates, which was wonderful. After lunch, Maggie went to the local camera shop and bought herself her first Digital SLR camera. She has been wanting one of these for several years, and has been researching extensively for months. She ended up purchasing the Canon Digital Rebel XTi (10.2 mp!) without the kit lens and instead opted for an image stabilizing 17-55mm lens of higher quality. See next post for pics!
After work, Maggie and Tommy headed out to Roy's for dinner. Maggie had her favorite--Spicy Ahi Sushi and then Butterfish entree followed by the Chocolate Souffle. We sat outdoors and watched the sunset, enjoying the cool trade winds. It was a wonderful night.
Thanks again to all Maggie's friends for their numerous calls, emails, and cards. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
